January is always the month that people want to implement big changes to their routine. But something that is key is understanding the difference between a resolution and a habit. Willpower alone cannot help you adopt a lifestyle change. Healthy habits are built on a foundation of consistency, repetition and reward. Research now tells us it can take anything from 66 days to 122 days to create a habit. However, arguably habits are a lifetime pursuit. However this doesn't mean we need to be a slave to our healthy habits, I was delighted to share the seven steps evidence based steps to help create healthy habits with ease and a sprinkle of joy, in this blog for BBC Radio: BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour
